It is one thing to be alone. It is an entirely different feeling to be left alone by the one who knows you. Without incident, without conflict, they must have been putting on a show for all those years or they suddenly let the demons consume them, as they no longer seem to be able to handle anybody. Although they know you, you can’t help but think that they also know that you are not right without them. Yet knowing this, they choose to disappear. Loosing them without a goodbye feels a bit like they just died. When one moment they are very near you and the very next they have vanished, you feel as if you may see them again. In fact, you are certain that you will. Not in person, but rather in spirit perhaps.
